| EXCITING ADVERTISING OPPORTUNITIES! You love reading ACResolution and Conflict Resolution Quarterly—now you can reach others in the field by advertising in an ACR publication. New rates for 2005 offer exciting opportunities and great value. For more information and to place an order, visit http://www.ACRnet.org/advertising/publications.htm or contact Alison Durland at 202-464-9700, ext. 230 or publications@ACRnet.org. The deadline for advertising in the Fall ACResolution is September 1; this is a great way to continue your marketing after ACR’s Annual Conference. The Fall issue mails November 1. CALL FOR ARTICLE PROPOSALS ACR’s winter 2006 issue of ACResolution magazine will focus on the topic of Community ADR. The editors seek proposals from people who would like to write articles on any aspect of this topic. They seek diversity in authors and subject matter; authors do not have to be ACR members. If interested, please:
Send your proposals via email to ACResolution Managing Editor Alison Durland at publications@ACRnet.org as soon as possible, but no later than September 10, 2005. An editorial advisory committee will review the proposals and choose 2–3 major features and 2–3 minor features. All authors will be notified by end of September. If selected, completed articles will be due to Alison by November 1, 2005. For more information about ACR publications and guidelines, please visit http://www.ACRnet.org/publications/acresolution.htm. EDITORIAL CORRECTION In Richard Fincher’s “Building a Career as a Labor Arbitrator” (Spring 2005 ACResolution issue on Arbitration), it was stated on page 13, second paragraph, that, “Unlike the FMCS, the AAA arbitrator roster is closed, meaning that it only occasionally accepts new candidates for admission.” It is more accurate to say that, “The AAA’s arbitrator roster is open, yet very selective, maintaining high standards for admission and evaluating the neutral’s qualifications in consideration of the market needs of a geographical region.”
