MEMBERSHIP DIRECTORY UPDATE: Please
check your information by January 31!
Is your membership information up to
date? ACR is preparing to publish the
2003 membership directory and needs
your help. Please go to the ACR Web
site, http://www.acresolution.org and
click on "Member Center Login,"
and at the prompt box, enter your username
and password to check the data in your
record. We will use that information
in the upcoming directory. If you do
not remember your username and password,
please send a request through the "contact
us" database on the ACR Web site
and that information will be sent to
you. ACR expects to ship the membership
directory to members by mid-March.

ACR ENVIRONMENTAL/PUBLIC POLICY SECTION
CONFERENCE: APRIL 24-26, 2003
Theme: Moving Beyond Our Comfort Zone:
Exploring the Edges of Our Field
Dates: April 24- 26, 2003
Location: Radisson Barcelo Hotel, Washington,
D.C.
The Environmental/Public Policy Section
invites you to join your colleagues
for an exciting conference that will
focus on urban public policy conflicts,
different and emerging modes of practice,
and urban environmental justice issues
paired with some dancing and great music.
We want to especially extend an invitation
to those practitioners who might define
themselves as being on the edge of our
field. The Section conference is an
opportunity to broaden our collegial
networks, understand different arenas
of practice, and perhaps attract new
members to ACR. We look forward to seeing
you in April!
ACR INTERNATIONAL SECTION MEETING: MAY
7-8, 2003
ACR is proud to support the first ACR
International Section Meeting, to be
held May 7-8, 2003 in Buenos Aires,
Argentina, prior to the 4th International
Conference of the World Mediation Forum.
ACR president Nancy Peace will speak
at the event.
The International Section mid-year
meeting will provide a forum for attendees
to meet and engage in in-depth dialogue
on a range of international conflict
resolution topics, including new developments
in the field. It also will help conflict
resolution professionals develop a better
understanding of both the status of
conflict resolution in different countries
and regions of the world, and how the
culture of conflict resolution can/needs
to be expanded and empowered in each
country. Attendees will work on identifying
how ACR can improve global access to
conflict resolution in all disciplines
and cultures. The meeting will include
both a Section business meeting and
a cocktail reception to connect with
Latin American ACR associates and friends,
as well as some of those attending the
World Mediation Forum.
We hope you will consider participating
in this event. By doing so, you will
contribute to the important work of
ACR and its International Section in
Latin America. If you would like to
be included in the Section gathering
but are not a member of the Section,

ACR FAMILY SECTION CONFERENCE: JULY
10-13, 2003
The ACR Family Section invites you
to the 2003 ACR Family Section Conference,
"A Family Affair: Making Room at
the Table," to be held July 10-13,
2003 at the Hyatt hotel in downtown
Denver, Colorado. Old friends, new ideas,
and beautiful places are at the heart
of the 2003 Family Section Conference.
The conference will offer opportunities
for mediators of all persuasions --
different styles, philosophies, and
levels of experience -- to explore controversial
topics and learn from each other.

JOIN THE ACR ANNUAL FUND AND HELP
SUPPORT ACR
The Association for Conflict Resolution
Annual Fund is a voluntary giving
program established by the Board of
Directors. Tax-deductible donations
are
used to enhance ACR's programs and services
and help keep dues low. The
Annual Fund not only strengthens the
operating capacity of the
organization, but also allows ACR to
move forward with new initiatives to
enhance the practice and public understanding
of conflict resolution.
The Fund offers four levels of giving:
Founders' Circle $1000 - $10,000+
Sustaining Member $500+
Supporting Member $250+
Contributing Member $100+
ACR gratefully acknowledges contributions
at any level of giving. All
contributors will be featured in ACResolution
magazine for one year (4 issues)
following the date of contribution.
Most importantly, contributors will
know that they are making a real difference
in the strength and
effectiveness of the Association for
Conflict Resolution.
