Family Section Conference
A Family Affair:
Making Room at the Table
July 9-12, 2003
Hyatt Hotel
Denver, Colorado
Introduction
Old friends, new ideas and a beautiful setting
are at the heart of the 2003 ACR Family Section
Conference, "A Family Affair: Making Room
at the Table," to be held July 9-12 in Denver,
Colorado. The conference will enable mediators
–with different styles, philosophies, levels
of experience, etc. to explore controversial topics
and learn from each other.
Our featured speakers are Joan Kelly, Ph.D. and
Robert Emery, Ph.D., two highly respected, nationally
renowned researchers on the subject of children
and divorce. The topics they will cover include
Current Research about Risk and Resiliency in
Children and Results from a Twelve Year Follow-up
Study of Mediation and Litigation.
The conference will be held at the Hyatt Hotel
in the heart of downtown Denver, where you will
be within walking distance of restaurants, shopping
and many other activities. You will have ample
time before and after the conference to take advantage
of the magnificent Colorado mountains, including
Summit County and Vail, which are one and one-half
and two hours, respectively, from downtown.
We welcome newer mediators and more experienced
mediators who have not attended a Family Section
conference before to join us. If you have not
attended a Family Section conference for some
time, we are looking forward to seeing you again!
