University and College Ombuds Association Annual Conference

2005 Conference Overview:

 

The annual UCOA conference provides practicing ombuds opportunity for professional development through skill sharpening, case discussion (respecting confidentiality), exploration of ideas, and networking. It is also a time for rest, reflection, and rejuvenation, all in a beautiful setting with colleagues and friends who share a most demanding, but rewarding, profession. And on a special note, UCOA is having a 20th anniversary celebration this year.

Monday, April 11 (daytime)

Pre-conference workshops (extra cost and whether meal is provided depends on workshop selection)

Monday, April 11 (evening)

Opening reception, anniversary celebration dinner, opening conference plenary

Tuesday, April 12 (daytime)

General conference begins, held jointly with TOA this day, breakfast & lunch provided

Tuesday, April 12 (evening)

Networking event

Wednesday, April 13

Conference location shifts for this day only to Georgia State University, a short distance from the Omni, breakfast & lunch provided

Thursday, April 14

Closing session, breakfast

 

 

Costs:

 

Full conference, TOA member:

$375 before March 1, 2005

Full conference, TOA member:

$425 after March 1, 2005

Full conference, non-member:

$425 before March 1, 2005

Full conference, non-member:

$475 after March 1, 2005

Hotel rate: $112 plus 14% tax.

Government rate is $112 plus tax.
