The International Mediation Meetings
November 14th and 15th 2003
Senate – Palace of Luxembourg - Paris 6ème

The holding of the International Mediation Meetings (RIM in French), the 14th and 15th of November 2003 at Paris in a prestigious and serene place, the Senate, allows the world of Mediation to meet with each other, without frontier, to testify, exchange and share its practices.

In a world going through deep cultural, economic and social tensions, the development of Mediation participates very simply to the need of humanizing directly life.

Initiated, accompanied or facilitated by the mediator, the Mediation approach also implies other actors participating in this dynamic process bringing together modernity and tradition. They all recognize its usefulness, even if the process of Mediation doesn’t always succeed.

Indeed, Mediation makes that communication matters the most, strengthens Peace and the social link, brings autonomy and responsability to the concerned parties.

These first International Mediation Meetings initiate this gathering of people from the Mediation world, its associations, networks, actors as well as those responsible and the interested users.
