for Presenters
We are pleased that your
session has been accepted for a workshop
session for the 2004 ACR Annual Conference.
With your help, we will make the conference
an exciting and engaging experience for
all who attend. This year's theme will
highlight the challenges and opportunities
facing the field of conflict resolution
in the 21st century and will present examples
of innovative practice in a wide range
of types and venues of conflict.
The following required items
for all session presenters:

Please be advised that the Conferences
Department's primary mode of communication
with presenters is e-mail. If you
have not received an e-mail from us
yet, please make sure that your e-mail
spam blocker is not prohibiting mail

as soon as possible.

Speaker
Release and ACR Ethics Policy Form:
All presenters must submit a signed
Speaker Release and ACR Ethics Policy
Form. If you have not already done
so, please download the form by clicking
here, fill it out and mail or
fax it to the ACR office no later
than Tuesday June 1, 2004.

Presentation
Handouts for Proceedings Book:
We encourage you to submit session
materials, such as an outline of
your presentation, for inclusion in
a compilation that will be given to
all conference attendees on-site.
Session materials must be:

Submitted no later than Wednesday
June 30, 2004

In Microsoft Word or Powerpoint
handout format
-
For 1.5 hour workshops: Limit
to 4 single-sided pages or 2,000
words.

For 3 hour workshops: Limit
to 8 single-sided pages or 4000
words.
-
For 6 hour Pre-conference workshops:
Limit to 16 single-sided pages.
**Please
Note: ACR does
not have the resources to reproduce
session handouts beyond those
in the outline book. If we receive
handouts over the stated page
limit, we will not copy beyond
the allowable number of pages.
The printing of all additional
handouts is the responsibility
of the presenters.

Session
Content:
As you prepare for your session,
please keep in mind that attendees
expect high quality, well-prepared
sessions, interactive teaching and
presentation methods, and attention
to diversity in panels and topics.
Please note that youth involved in
dispute resolution will be attending
as full conference participants. All
sessions and activities will be open
to them, so please be prepared to
welcome these young dispute resolvers
into your sessions.

Reimbursement
Policy:
As a nonprofit organization, ACR does
not reimburse conference speakers
for their expenses. Therefore, speakers
who plan to attend conference sessions
other than the one(s) at which they
are presenting must register and pay
the appropriate registration fee.
Registration fee discounts are not
provided for non-keynote speakers,
whether or not they are ACR members.

Sale
of Presenter Merchandise:
Speakers wishing to sell books, tapes,
videos, etc., may purchase space in
the Exhibitor Area, but will not be
permitted to do so during conference
sessions.

Presenter
Registration:
-
In order to receive the necessary
registration materials and a conference
badge, all speakers must send
in a registration form (which
will be included in the brochure),
even if they are not planning
to pay to attend any session or
event other than when they are
presenting. If you do not plan
on attending the full conference,
check the box “Presenting
Only” on the registration
form.

Speakers who wish to attend conference
sessions other than those at which
they are presenting must pay the
registration fee.

If you are not now a member
of ACR, we invite you to join
and register for the entire conference
at the discounted member rate!
