This two-day learning opportunity is designed for practicing labor arbitrators with five or more written cases. The program will focus on several areas: substantive aspects of arbitration (including just cause) decision-making, award-writing, advanced hearing procedures, and ethics. Significant time will be allocated to building a career, including gaining acceptance, applying to panels, writing articles, and managing fee income. This will be a collegial and interactive environment for learning. A unique aspect of this program will be review of your arbitration award by faculty from the National Academy of Arbitrators. The nationally recognized faculty includes Homer LaRue, Elizabeth Neumeier, David Weinberg, and Fred Dichter. Additional ACR and FMCS faculty will provide informal mentoring during the program.
This program represents the first-ever national collaboration between the Association for Conflict Resolution (ACR), the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), and the National Academy of Arbitrators (NAA). Registration is limited.

The two-day cost is $325 early-bird, and $375 regular. Lunches are included. A separate check/credit card authorization must be submitted to ACR for participation in this program. Room reservations should be booked directly with the hotel, using the reduced ACR room rates. A block of sleeping rooms has been blocked for October 13 and 14 under ACR conference. Need-based scholarships are available through ACR.

Upon completion of this program, we hope that you will attend the annual ACR Conference in the same resort. However, registration for the ACR conference is not required to attend this program.
