Re: December 2006 ACR Board Special Election

Dear ACR Member,

ACR’s Special Election Task Force is reporting the results of the December 2006 Special Election. Voting online and via paper mail concluded on Thursday, December 21, 2006. There were two positions open in this election: Chapters Director, a two-year term; and Director-at-Large, a two-year term.

The results are:

• Lou Gieszl was elected to the two-year Chapters Director position.

• Cindy Cook was elected to the two-year Director-at-Large position.

We want to thank all of the candidates in this Special Election for offering their time, energy and leadership skills to serve ACR.

Congratulations to ACR’s two new Directors, Cindy and Lou. They will immediately begin serving on the 16-member Board of Directors.

Please remember that this was a special election made necessary by vacancies on the Board of Directors. ACR will conduct its normal annual election in advance of the 2007 Annual Conference. ACR’s Board and Governance Committee will announce the nominating and election process as provided in the Bylaws at a future date.
