Dear ACR Member,

ACR's Governance Committee Chair, Terrence T. Wheeler, Immediate Past President, has announced the slate of candidates for President-Elect and three (3) Director-At-Large positions for the ACR Board of Directors' 2007 Annual Election. The Governance Committee serves as ACR's nominating committee, under the Bylaws.

Balloting will be conducted online from September 9 - October 9, 2007, following the completion of a period from July 31 - August 31, 2007 during which any ACR member may seek nomination by petition as an additional candidate. Those elected will take office at the conclusion of the Annual Conference October 24-27, 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona.

CANDIDATES

The candidates are (in alphabetical order):

For President-Elect:

Jim Rosenstein

Note: Members will vote for one (1) candidate. The individual receiving the most votes will become President-Elect for 2007-08 and will succeed to become President for 2008-09 and then Immediate Past-President for 2009-10. Each annual cycle begins at ACR's Annual Conference and concludes at the following year's Annual Conference.

For Director-At-Large:

Michael Aloi

Crevon Tarrance

Note: Members will vote for 3 candidates. The candidate(s) receiving the largest number of votes will be elected to the three vacant Director-At-Large positions for three-year terms.

PERIOD FOR NOMINATION BY PETITION
ACR's Bylaws provide for a period during which any member in good standing may seek nomination by petition as an additional candidate on the slate selected by the Governance Committee (this includes "self-nomination" by petition). This announcement begins that period, and between July 31 - August 31, 2007, members may seek nomination by petition to any open position by submitting the following documents to the ACR office prior to 5:00 pm on August 31, 2007:

1. A list of the names of 100 current ACR members in good standing who support the petition candidate; and

2. An e-mail message sent to the petition organizer from each of those 100 members, in which the member clearly states his/her desire to have his/her name placed on the petition in support of the particular candidate.

Note: For the purposes of valid signatures on Nomination Petitions, the term "current ACR member(s) means all members in good standing prior to the date on which ballots are sent, who have ACR membership status as a Member; Practitioner/Educator/Researcher; Advanced Practitioner/Advanced Educator; and/or Student. Individuals who are listed with the ACR office as members of an Organizational Affiliate may also sign nomination petitions.
